Tether
Tether is an installation and performance by Kendra Sollars exploring the relationship between the human body and a fragile suspended structure through movement, tension, and collapse.
tether
Tether is an installation and performance constructed from a suspended web of string held together by screws, hot glue, and the interconnected tension of the material itself. During the performance, the artist gradually suspended her body from the structure, allowing it to stretch, separate, and ultimately collapse under its own strain. The work reflects on vulnerability, dependence, and the delicate balance between support and failure.
