Suspend

Created in 2009, Suspend is Kendra Sollars' first video projection installation. Filmed underwater, the work follows the movement of the human body as it interacts with a suspended strand of string that drifts, twists, and gradually entangles itself with the performer. As the earliest work in the artist's ongoing exploration of projection, movement, and the underwater environment, Suspend marks the beginning of a practice that continues to evolve today.
